North Carolina A&T University student Delaney Vandergrift, as part of a press conference called to oppose NC Senate legislation that would lower tuition at HBCUs and stabilize tuition rates at other campuses, says minority students need HBCU campuses as they provide a learning environment that's distinctive from UNC System campuses with predominately White populations.
