In conjunction with the PBS documentary 180 Days: Hartsville, Heather Burgiss sits down with 2014 NC Teacher of the Year James Ford to talk about the status of education in our state. Mr. Ford shares his views on the importance of mentoring young black male students, and talks about ways to engage students in education so they will be better prepared for college and careers.
