The ship was commissioned in Wilmington in November 2010. It is named in honor of Vice Admiral Samuel Gravely, the first African American Admiral in the Navy. Jeff learns about the destroyer's advanced weaponry and capabilities as well as the pride of the Naval officers who serve on the vessel.
